I was lucky enough to make it to the Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Festival a couple weeks back with my lovely friend Angie, and among our road-tripping adventures (farms and food and ice cream, oh my!) she became convinced that I needed this sparkly yarn made of beauty and merino wool
and she was SO RIGHT. (Thanks, Angie!)
But what to do with it? Why, that bolero pattern that I’ve been looking for an excuse to make, of course! The pattern, which is lovely and easy to follow, can be found here, and I strongly recommend it, even if you’re new to fancy lacy crochet. It’s a clever design, extremely well-written, and is another one I just know I’m going to come back to again and again. And it’s so pretty!
Just look at that lovely texture! Lacy but with a sturdy feel, clinging in all the ways you want it to. It’s genius.
Perfect for crocheting in, of course!
Do you have a favourite shrug/bolero or even lacy pattern? I’d love to hear about it!
Be happy, healthy, and safe my friends,
