Pattern of the week

Pattern of the week: Easy comfy round cushion

This week our featured pattern is the Chunky Poof Pillow by Sara Sach over at Posh Pooch Designs. I’ve been lurking over at her site forever now, and her work is creative and professional and utterly adorable.

I’ve been meaning forever to make a meditation pillow for myself. And this isn’t really a meditation pillow (it’s not filled with buckwheat, for one, and for another I completely ignored the measurements suggested for meditation pillows), in fact, this is intended as a dog pillow (as one might guess from the designer’s name on her website)! Whether you’re a dog or a human or an armadillo, though, it’s a very comfy cute pillow with very straight forward instructions, and I adore it.

And I do actually use it for meditation, so that MAKES it a meditation pillow, right?

It should be noted that the original pattern recommended using Caron Chunky Cakes (which I’ve in the past used and loved), but there was a sale at the yarn store, so I’m used a Bernat blanket yarn instead. It worked wonderfully, and gave me a chance to play with the colours and patterns in the pillow.

What about you? What patterns are you into this week?

Be happy, healthy, and safe my friends!
