This pattern was featured as the pattern of the week awhile back when I made my own sweater/dress from it, and you know what? It’s still an amazing pattern that I adore. This time, the sweater/dress goes to the lovely Kathleen, and I’m adding to it all the things I didn’t add to my own. Hers will be about 10 rows longer (we’re tall ladies, what can I say?), done in a variegated rather than a self-striping yarn (self striping is lovely, but a pain to match up and then sew up when the pattern is in two pieces plus sleeves!), and I’ll be certain to make the sleeves long enough (see point on us being tall ladies). And I’m really excited to give it to her, because look at this thing!
I think I have about 20 more rows on the back half, then just some sewing and some sleeves and we’re good to go! The yarn choice was hers, and she chose incredibly well. The colours make me think of a stormy twilight lake front (appropriate, given where we live!)
Hope you’re all having a lovely week working on your own projects!
Be happy, healthy, and safe!
